The Board of Investment (BOI) is responsible for promoting and facilitating investment in Dubai Waterfront for investors wishing to purchase land parcels. The Company will introduce for the first time in Dubai a one-stop concept to integrate development permits and trade licensing, thereby streamlining the administrative procedures, and swiftly expediting investors’ needs.
The Board of Investment of Dubai Waterfront will be a one-stop, multi-tasked agency looking after the needs of all investors seeking to use Dubai Waterfront as an entry point into the UAE, the region, and wider global markets.

The services of BOI include:
- Provision of information to potential investors
- Negotiation and sale of land parcels, joint ventures and individual development opportunities
- Receipt, appraisal, approval of projects as well as issue of Investment Certificates after the approval of projects
- Assistance with identifying potential local partners for joint ventures
- Assistance with identifying and selecting sites for mixed use communities, residential projects, hotels and tourism projects, retail and commercial packages
- Organisation of visits and meetings with private and public agencies
- Assistance with sales and marketing
- Issuance of development brand guidelines
- Provision of market intelligence and information on costs of doing business in Dubai Waterfront as well as on market opportunities
- Assistance with obtaining work and resident permits and all required licenses and clearances from the relevant authorities
- Adjustments to the masterplan as per market forces and changing demographics

Steps to Investment
- Investors to prepare written expressions of interest in either:
- purchasing equity in Dubai Waterfront Company and/or
- purchasing land parcels or
- forming joint ventures with Dubai Waterfront Company
- Issuance by Dubai Waterfront of a reservation land sales agreement. This enables promoters to structure detailed architectural plans and structural drawings in respect of the various components of the project(s).
- Preliminary approval of project and land acquisition
- The next stage in the approval process is the issue of a Letter of Intent. The Letter of Intent is issued after submission of all technical and financial data, a full feasibility study on the technical and financial viability of the project, and after approval by BOI.
